Chinese residential family consumption level to increase

A latest survey indicates that to reflect the increase of Chinese residential consumption level is the continuous reduction of Engel's coefficient for residential families. In 2002, the Engel's coefficient of urban residential families is 37.7%, reducing 0.2% compared with that in 2001. That of the rural families is 46/2%, 1.5% lower than in 2001...

Data on the basic reality of Chinese retail in 2003 indicates that in 2002 the retail volume of the social consumption articles is 4,091.05 billion in 2002...
