The recent proclamation on the population distribution data from the Fifth Population Census shows that the population densities of the east, the center and the west are separately 452.3, 262.2 and 51.3 per square kilometers. The population density in the east is 8.8 times more than in the west...

Figures of the Fifth Population Census show that the population distribution is 490 million in the east, 420 million in the center and 360 million in the west. But the area is 1.086 million square kilometers in the east, 1.585 million square kilometers in the center and 6.927 million square kilometers in the west.
