It is said that there is no choice but to control the production of iron and coal. The state bureau decided that the production of iron would not exceed 110 million tons in 2000. At the same time the government began to work a new plan to improve the present quality of the iron. Many firms, whose iron production is illegal, will be closed. The government also reduced the coal production to 870 million tons in 2000. Those mines whose instruments are obsolete will be closed. The running of those mines will not bring and good point but pollution of environment.
