In order to reduce illegal and unsustainable trade in and consumption of wildlife in China, and to support wildlife conservation efforts around the country, WWF China is seeking a Species Officer.

Main responsibilities:

• Develop and manage WWF China's wildlife trade programme in cooperation with partners
• Manage WWF China's Conservation Small Grants Fund
• Provide wildlife conservation support to WWF China field programmes

Required skills/qualifications:

• Five years experience working in conservation and/or non-governmental organizations
• Good understanding of China's conservation challenges and commitment to the environment
• Excellent communication skills in Chinese, spoken and written
• Good English speaking and writing

Technical expertise strongly preferred: biology, conservation, ecology, zoology, marketing and communications, public relations.
