Expression of Interest, Protected Areas for Resource Conservation, Viet Nam

The United Nations Office for Project Services (UNOPS) manages and implements project resources to help developing nations and countries in transition in their quest for peace, social stability, economic growth and sustainable development. The UNOPS Asia Office is requesting EXPRESSIONS OF INTEREST for a contract under the Global Environment Fund and the United Nations Development Programme co-financed project Creating Protected Areas for Resource Conservation using Landscape Ecology in Viet Nam. The contract will cover project activities, which need to be completed at Yok Don National Park in the central highlands province of Dak Lak, including the development of programmes for:

National Park Management (conservation)
Buffer Zone Development (community development)
Environmental Awareness and Eco-tourism
Institution building, land-use planning and forestry.

UNOPS invites qualified potential suppliers with a proven track record in biodiversity conservation, protected area management and community development (experience in Viet Nam is an asset), to express their interest in providing the above services. The Expression of Interest should specify your relevant experience and must be received by UNOPS no later than 14 days after the publication of this announcement.

It should be noted that UNOPS is not obliged to invite to participate in the subsequent bidding process any particular supplier who has sent an Expression of Interest in this project.
