On January 11th, a strong sandstorm hit mid-western Gansu Province. This is the second sandstorm that the province suffered from. This afternoon, Lanzhou covered by floating dust in the sky. Experts estimate that the new sandstorm is quickening in frequency, shortening in interval and increasing in intensity.

At 2 to 4 o'clock on the afternoon of January 11th, four counties of Gansu Province suffered from strong sandstorm. The wind speed was 21 meters per second. The visibility is 200 to 300 meters.
